National Disaster Recovery Services, Inc.
Our company, NDRS, Inc., was founded in 1989 following widespread hurricane damage in Charleston, South Carolina. The need became clear; a public insurance adjusting loss recovery team to assist policy holders in their recovery, since the carrier does not see the insured’s property in the same light.
Since then, we have handled catastrophe claims in many states (some of the largest losses in the country), including churches, libraries, schools, office buildings, residences, and specialty structures impaired or destroyed by fire, flood, tornado, earthquake and hurricane conditions.
Our residential and commercial divisions employ estimators of building losses and accountants of business and personal property. These divisions are managed by the president of operations. Catastrophe operations are mostly carried out in the field from the city where the loss originated.
We use sophisticated tools; computer aided drawing (CAD), specialty loss estimating systems and contents accounting software. Our business interruption software models assist us in determining the maximum loss in any business setting.
Our commitment to providing the most educated knowledgeable and experienced team is without parallel. To ensure the most qualified teams, we follow the legal claim principals in each state we work in. We also provide education through the Insurance Institute of America and the American Educational Institute, including advanced courses in The Claims Environment, Property Loss Adjusting, Commercial Property and Risk Management, Property Claim Law, Construction Project Management and Project Management Institute (PMI).
Our CEO, Richard Spreeman, is a past service chairman of the National Conference of States on Building Codes, Insurance Institute for Property Loss Reduction, a past mediator on behalf of the Better Business Bureau, White Dispute Resolution Institute and a past appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers.
